Team California prevailed in the first-ever "Battle in the Desert". The California and Arizona teams were tied after the rained out first round and the completed 2nd round. Each team had 10.5 points. On day three California walked away with the win winning 13.5 to 7.5 for a final tally of 24 to 18.
