Why not make it real?

Maybe it is just me.  Have you ever noticed television ads showing images that do not make sense?  I recalled seeing something in a frequent golf commercial with the famous GolfNow/GolfPass gopher but never had a chance to capture the image.

Then I was playing in an Indiana Golf tournament when I saw a similar image on a poster - minus the gopher!  I took a picture of it and clipped the image as it was not the fault of the advertiser but rather the person that created the image.

The basic problem with the image is that it is not real.  Can you spot the "errors"?  I will list ones I see further down this post.  How these errors happen is that graphic artists like images that look good.  The "errors" in this case are apparently made to make the image look balanced.  That doesn't mean that the image will represent something in real life!  But why not make a balanced image that is "real"?

 What is wrong with the picture?  Let me list the ways.

1)  Why are the left-handed and right-handed clubs in the same bag?

2)  If these are her clubs and she is left-handed, why is the glove on her left-hand?  (Maybe the clubs are behind the man and he is left-handed, however it looks like there could be two sets of clubs in the image and the clubs on the left are definitely left-handed.)

3)  You don't see any clubs behind her as you would expect some clubs to be showing behind her on the left.

In any case, it appears the image was staged to look the way someone wanted it to look.  I noticed the same thing in the GolfNow commercial with a combination of left-handed and right-handed clubs in a golf bag.  If you Google it you can find the image.  The AI summary claims that it fits the gopher "character's clueless nature".  I don't by that argument.  I believe it is purely a case of making an image looked balanced as the opposite-handed clubs are pointed in a specific manner not as they would randomly sit in a golf bag.

Would it be that tough for someone creating a commercial to be seen by millions to take a few minutes to make the image look real especially since they are marketing to real golfers!
