After I graduate from high school, I plan to attend Hanover College, located in beautiful Hanover, Indiana, where I intend to double major in political science and business. Hanover’s political science program ranks above the rest in the Midwest and has produced the likes of former governors Mike Pence and Eric Holcomb.
I am committed to play on their golf team, where I plan to continue the sport I love at the collegiate level. Hanover’s class sizes will allow me to better understand the political process and culture. Their new, state-of-the-art business institution provides training in the proper knowledge within the corporate landscape. These two pre-law majors will best prepare me for my transition into law school. After receiving my bachelor's degree from Hanover College, I hope to attend Harvard Law School. As someone whose travel experience is limited, shipping out to the East Coast will be a unique experience; however, a change of scenery might challenge me with my studies and allow me to prepare myself for the real world. Upon graduation, I intend to return to Indiana and practice law in Logansport to further my experience within the field. After a decade of practicing law, I plan to represent my rural community by ensuring its future by fighting against development on necessary agricultural ground. Although golf is an individual sport, it has taught me a lot about leadership and integrity, inspiring me to pursue a career within civil service and government. Rural America is the backbone of our nation, and I will fight to keep its respect and invest back into the agriculture community. Not only would I represent our local communities, but I can also help fight for a better future for our nation as a whole. |
