​Louise Margo Mesenbrink, age 75, of Calabash, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Louise was the wife of Lefty Golfer William (Messy) Mesenbrink who passed away on December 2, 2022 also of Calabash, NC (previously from Milwaukee).

​Delma Jean Martin passed away on December 20, 2025 at the age of 86.  Delma Jean and husband Terry were very active in lefty golf.  They ran the National Lefty-Righty for many years in Lenoir, North Carolina.  She was also the VP of the Lefty Golf Association of the Carolinas for 20 years.

The NALG extends heartfelt condolences to the Martin family and thank them for all they have done for the NALG over the years!

​John Hodecker passed away March 5, 2024 at the age of 90.  John was a lifelong avid lefty golfer and one of the most involved NALG members for nearly 50 years, promoting the NALG to anyone who would listen throughout his travels.

John was not only a mainstay with the NALG, but he also participated in many World Lefty Events (WALG), his last tournament being in Sweden.  John also was the founder and ran the Oregon state lefty events for many years.

The NALG extends a big heartfelt thank you to John for all of his contributions and our condolences to his wonderful family.  John's obituary can be found by clicking HERE.

Clement E. King - Bobbi Wolf just discovered that Clement E. King passed away on December, 8, 2022 at the age of 102!  King was a frequent participant in the Ohio Lefties and the NALG national tournament.  He achieved 12 holes-in-one in his golfing career.  His obituary can be found HERE.

Marvin (Marv) Seelye - Marv Seelye from Oak Harbor, Washington passed away on February 10, 2023.  Marv was a frequent competitor in a variety of left-handed tournaments.  He won championships at the Northwest Pacific Lefthanders, Oregon Lefthanders, and Canadian Lefthanders golf tournaments.  His competitive love of golf took him to the World Lefthanded Golf Tournaments in New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Victoria BC, and Orlando, FL.  Below are a picture and a link to his full obituary.

Charles (Chuck) Stinson​ - We are saddened to report the passing of Chuck Stinson.  Chuck was the host of the 2017 National Tournament in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Chuck was the sports anchor and reporter at WLBT TV in Jackson, Mississippi.

Tim Rickard - We are saddened to report the passing of long time NALG member Tim Rickard from New York.  You can find his obituary HERE.

​Bill Mesenbrink - It is with great sadness that the NALG announce the passing of Bill "Santa" Mesenbrink on December 2.  Santa was a frequent participant in state lefty events in his home state of Wisconsin as well as Tennessee, Michigan and Indiana.  He has also participated in the National tournament.  Most recently he resided in Calabash, North Carolina.  Bill's picture is shown below and it is obvious why his friends called him Santa.

Born on December 14, 1947 in Glendale, WI, he was the son of the late Arthur and Anne Mesenbrink.
Mr. Messenbrink is survived by his wife, Louise O'Dell "Weezie" Mesenbrink.
