NALG
John Hodecker passed away March 5, 2024 at the age of 90. John was a lifelong avid lefty golfer and one of the most involved NALG members for nearly 50 years, promoting the NALG to anyone who would listen throughout his travels.
John was not only a mainstay with the NALG, but he also participated in many World Lefty Events (WALG), his last tournament being in Sweden. John also was the founder and ran the Oregon state lefty events for many years.

Clement E. King - Bobbi Wolf just discovered that Clement E. King passed away on December, 8, 2022 at the age of 102! King was a frequent participant in the Ohio Lefties and the NALG national tournament. He achieved 12 holes-in-one in his golfing career. His obituary can be found HERE.
Marvin (Marv) Seelye - Marv Seelye from Oak Harbor, Washington passed away on February 10, 2023. Marv was a frequent competitor in a variety of left-handed tournaments. He won championships at the Northwest Pacific Lefthanders, Oregon Lefthanders, and Canadian Lefthanders golf tournaments. His competitive love of golf took him to the World Lefthanded Golf Tournaments in New Zealand, Australia, Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Victoria BC, and Orlando, FL. Charles (Chuck) Stinson - We are saddened to report the passing of Chuck Stinson. Chuck was the host of the 2017 National Tournament in Biloxi, Mississippi. Chuck was the sports anchor and reporter at WLBT TV in Jackson, Mississippi.

Bill Mesenbrink - It is with great sadness that the NALG announce the passing of Bill "Santa" Mesenbrink on December 2. Santa was a frequent participant in state lefty events in his home state of Wisconsin as well as Tennessee, Michigan and Indiana. He has also participated in the National tournament. Most recently he resided in Calabash, North Carolina. Bill's picture is shown below and it is obvious why his friends called him Santa.
Born on December 14, 1947 in Glendale, WI, he was the son of the late Arthur and Anne Mesenbrink.
Mr. Messenbrink is survived by his wife, Louise O'Dell "Weezie" Mesenbrink.
